The Rugby World Cup has finished and first of all, no matter how much it pains me I would like to congratulate the All Blacks on winning their 3rd world cup.
They beat all 3 semi finalist to get there (well technically they didn’t beat Scotland who were the real semi-finalist). Argentina in the Group stage, South Africa in the semi’s & Australia in the final.
There can be no dispute that they are the best team in the world.
We in the north will play the feel good cup (6 nations) in February/March where I guarantee a northern hemisphere team will win.
Although England’s team played like pathetic losers, we can still be proud of hosting the biggest, best & most successful world cup in the history of the sport. I only hope in 50 years time we are not recalling that 1 world cup we won back in ’03 like the football guys say “remember ’66”
Whilst we are on the subject of rugby, The tag rugby is firmly established both Adult and children’s.
You don’t need to be a big guy to play although we recommend the girls be a bit wary of Captain Boris Woody
If you want to join in the fun then contact Jason.
We are trying to get mini rugby (tag) started and if your child want to try then again contact Jason
We would like to thank ISD school for allowing us to play on their field as it is very difficult to find suitable locations.
